You'll likely get some face time with your favorites, as autograph signings and meet-and-greets with performers are usually on the schedule. Just book early, as popular theme cruises often sell out. The Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise has truly been a wildly life changing experience for literally thousands of musicians and blues cruisers alike. We have created a “Blues Village” for all to see multiple performances, jam at will with one another, network and simply relax… for an entire week at sea.
Theme Nights
Spotlights have included “Boogie Woogie” Piano Extravaganzas, Harmonica Workshops, Songwriters’ Discussions, Guitar Workshops, Drums & Percussion Gatherings… even New Orleans Cultural Workshops and Storytelling. This all happens well before noon, and much like Legendary’s Pro Jams, it’s not uncommon to see a host of headliners and star sidemen line the stage for a unique introspective on the minds, methods, and techniques behind the Rhythm & Blues genre. Whether the October Cruise gets your groove on, or our January Caribbean Voyage suits your tastes, you will have the Legendary adventure you’re expecting and then some. We have selected a variety of exotic ports that are music friendly, and of course you’ll enjoy the amenities of a five star full ship charter. Sailing on the Holland America ms Koningsdam from San Diego to the beautiful and sunny Mexican ports of Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, and Loreto in the Sea of Cortez, we are already at 86% of full capacity. Limited cabins remain for you to intimately sail with the amazing musicians who are thrilled to be back on board with us and the Legendary Blues Cruise family.
LRBC #41 Artists:
The bands on the ship have a week at sea to share memories, exchange lore from the road, kick back… and join each other on stage. Blues Cruisers have witnessed dream jam sessions and combos on these ships over the years, and the memories just keep building. Our Blues Mecca showcases more music than you can possibly see during the voyage! Imagine dancing at the front of the pool deck stage while our luxury ship sails at 20 knots under the stars, or sunbathing on an upper deck while the bands play directly below.

It’s an experience that can only be described as Bluesin’®. What’s the best way to cap a wee-hours jam in the Piano Bar? By kicking back with your morning coffee midship with the cool sea breeze blowing through your hair… right?
LATE NIGHT JAM ROOMS:
Proceeds from the cruise benefit Keeping the Blues Alive, a nonprofit for music students and educators. Immerse yourself in the emotive and lyrical hymns of one of America's greatest musical styles on a blues theme cruise -- a type of music theme cruise that's slowly gaining momentum among fans of the genre. These veritable floating music festivals typically feature dozens of blues performers and sometimes even hundreds of at-sea shows, with blues greats galore (think Buddy Guy, Tab Benoit and Keb' Mo') as well as up-and-coming stars onboard. Twice a year, the blues takes a vacation with the grandfather of all music cruises, the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise (LRBC), one of the largest floating festivals at sea. Legendary’s Autograph Sessions give you a chance to meet your favorite artists in a very intimate and personal manner. There are two sessions during the week, one for early dining seating passengers, and the other for late seating passengers.
Pro-Passengers Jams
These fully chartered blues theme cruises typically set sail twice a year, and a variety of upcoming itineraries, including Mexican Riviera and Caribbean, are on offer. Topping the list is multi Grammy Award-winner Taj Mahal, as the King of this cruise, bringing his experienced Trio, with special guest Roger Glenn on vibes. A real treat was to see Taj doing his Caribbean-based songs while being caressed by Island breezes.
Photos with Artists are allowed unless otherwise posted. Commemorative Posters and Apparel are in the Bluesin’ Bazaar on the ship and are perfect for capturing this multitude of autographs. You’re also invited to bring albums, instruments, photos or other keepsakes for signatures.
Joe Bonamassa's annual blues theme cruises to the Caribbean are branching out to Continental ports. This Mediterranean version of the celebrated floating blues music fest features an impressive lineup of blues performances, movie screenings, autograph sessions, Q&As with musicians, and special acoustic shows. Blues industry promoter Roger Naber invites you to "go bluesin'" on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise, a sailing featuring five stages, more than 100 scheduled shows and dozens of blues performers on the lineup.
Pro Jams
Add Buddy Guy, Shemekia Copeland, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Nellie Tiger Travis and real-deal Chicago Blues was on da boat! The bayou was represented by the swamp boogie of Kenny Neal with his talented family band including nephew Tyree, Tab Benoit, The Legendary Ils Sont Partis Band and Jon Cleary and The Absolute Gentlemen, Vasti Jackson and Charlie Musslewhite. Musical reunions with boat’s favorite Trampled Under Foot as well as the supergroup collaboration of Victor Wainwright, JP Soars and Damian Fowler in Southern Hospitality. Tommy Castro’s popularity has inherited him a regular spot every cruise as well as kicking off the opening night jam. Not to be outrocked, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Walter Trout, Commander Cody and Collin James electrified the boat. The upcoming generation of blues was represented by old souls but young blues masters Marquise Knox and Quinn Sullivan.
There is also the mix-and-match with artists jumping on stage together, multi- guitar masters mashups, legendary vocal duos to 3 AM mind blowing horn jams. Joe Bonamassa hosts the annual sailing of this popular blues theme cruise. A curated lineup features almost two dozen blues performers, from old-school legends to rising stars.
